UNGCMYB Sustainability Communications Master Class

What will be covered?

For sustainability communication to be effective it is important that the information is complete, substantiated and relatable. Half-truths and insufficient information can pose a high risk of being construed as greenwashing by authorities, as well as partners, consumers, and other stakeholders.

What’s important is to communicate if your company is making efforts to find out the impact of its operations and to explain how your sustainability strategy is helping to reduce the effects on our planet and society, and whether your plan is advancing efforts towards a more sustainable future in line with the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

This workshop will guide you through the different stages of building a sustainability communications plan for consumers, media and other stakeholders. With three practical exercises, it will provide examples of the types of questions you need to ask to help you shape, and effectively communicate, your company’s sustainability story.
